HOCl Spray After Workouts
Why skin feels the way it does after training, what helps in the first ten minutes, and how a hypochlorous acid mist fits into a gym bag.

Training is good for you and hard on your skin. Not because sweat is dirty — it is not — but because of what happens around it: friction, heat, equipment against your face, and a shower you do not always get to straight away.
This is a practical guide to the ten minutes after you stop, and where a hypochlorous acid mist fits into them.
Why skin feels different after training
- Sweat sits. It evaporates and leaves behind the salt and whatever was on your skin already — sunscreen, dust from the commute, city air.
- Things rub. Helmet straps, headbands, collars, a mat against your cheek, your own hands. Friction on warm skin is what your face actually objects to.
- Heat lingers. Skin stays flushed and warm well after the last set, which is why everything feels more sensitive for a while.
What to do in the first ten minutes
- Stop touching your face. The single most useful thing, and the hardest.
- Get the sweat off gently. A clean towel, pressed rather than dragged. No scrubbing warm skin.
- Mist. Two or three presses of a fragrance-free hypochlorous acid mist over bare skin, eyes closed. It dries without residue, so there is nothing to wipe off before you put a helmet back on.
- Leave it alone. Skip the actives for now — this is not the moment for an acid toner or a scrub.
Why a mist rather than a wipe
A wipe drags across skin that is already warm and has already been rubbed by a strap for an hour. A mist lands and dries. If you have a shower waiting, take it; if you are standing by your bike with fifteen minutes of traffic ahead of you, a mist is the step you will actually do.
Can I use it before a workout too?
Yes. Over bare skin, before sunscreen if you are training outdoors. It is light enough that it does not sit under a helmet or a mask, and it is fragrance-free, so it does not compete with anything else you wear.
How often is too often?
There is no daily limit to respect. A fragrance-free, four-ingredient mist that dries clean can be used as often as suits you — before, after, and again on the way home if it is that kind of day.
What it will not do
It will not replace a shower, it is not a treatment for acne or any other condition, and it will not undo a helmet strap rubbing the same spot for two hours. It is a light step for skin that has been through something, and it is honest about being exactly that.
A gym-bag routine, in full
- Before: bare skin, mist, sunscreen if you are outside.
- Straight after: towel gently, mist, leave it.
- At home: your usual cleanse and the rest of your routine, whatever that is.
The mist we make for exactly this is the Daily Skin Reset — 120 ml, 200 PPM, four ingredients. The full product explanation is here.
